Pays de Ventoux Rouge Grenache 80%, Syrah 20% A serious, profound red fruit bouquet with a hint of liquorice. The palate reveals the spices of the terroir, interwoven with herby Garrigue flavours. Attractive structure, taut, elegant and compelling - full of fruit reflecting the influence of the location. This wine came about as a result of a recent acquisition by Domaines Brunier of plots totalling some 3 ha in the village of Saint-Hippolyte-le-Graveyron, situated on the slope South of the Dentelles de Montmirail; a small paradise. Their geographical location, their orientation to the sun and prevailing winds and the results obtained after the first harvest, persuaded Domaines Brunier not to add the production form these parcels to the classic Le Pigeoulet, but to make a full-fledged wine in its own right and offer it a place at the entry point of their range. Grapes are harvested by hand, are de-stemmed and are pressed gently by pneumatic press. Vinification occurs in temperature-controlled cement tanks for 15-20 days and it is then aged in 50 hl foudres for 10 months before bottling.
