Roberto Olivan Tentenublo Rioja Tinto 2019
Brand: Roberto Olivan
Roberto Oliván is one of the leading names among the new generation of young producers in Rioja. He is based in Viñaspre, a hamlet in the district of Lanciego, situated beneath the Sierra Cantabria mountains. He works the family vines of just under 10 hectares and is steadily acquiring others in the vicinity, an area to which he is particularly attached. High altitude (around 620 metres) and replanos, (tableland areas with distinctive limestone and sandstone soils), are the key geographical elements of the region and provide a unique character to his range of wines. His flagship wine is Tentenublo, the name given to the ringing of bells aimed at fighting off hailstorms in some Rioja villages as illustrated on the label. This is a fresh, elegant red, made from predominantly Tempranillo and Garnacha, and aged in French oak barrels for 9 months. Drink Now or Keep Beef, Lamb, Cheese Dry Full Bodied Dense Red Tempranillo, Garnacha Tinta, Mazuelo Rioja, Spain Roberto Olivan 2019 Contains Sulphites
