The 6-hectare parcel of old Semillon vines that Michel Bonnot discovered and purchased in the late 1980’s has come in very good stead at Carbon d’Artigues where they are now making some wonderfully fragrant and honeyed dry white Graves which has a crisp flavour of melons balanced with a lively, refreshing finish. The wine sees no oak-ageing but does stay on its lees in the stainless steel vats over a 3-4 month period, adding a further dimension of complexity and a more exuberant fruitiness.
