Presenting six of our top wines for Christmas. The Viré Clessé is a generous and succulent white Burgundy from the slopes of the Maconnais with an enticing nose of citrus fruit and lime blossom. The palate is silky and rich with plump pear and stone fruit flavours and a wonderful fresh finish. The Cuvée des Mages is only made in very good years and is a succulent Sancerre, with complex peach fruits and wonderful minerality. Montagny Buissonnier is a full, rich wine with citrus and herbs on the nose which carry through the palate to a lingering length. Maison Sichel's Margaux is wonderfully expressive with ripe autumnal bramble fruits, silky fine-grained tannins and is perfect for current drinking. The Santenay 1er Cru is a fresh spicy Burgundy with floral overtones of violets and red juicy summer berries; it really is quite delicious. Finally the Allées de Cantemerle is soft and succulent with gorgeous dark fruits and has a wonderfully long finish.
