Bont Riot TR+, the worlds only carbon composite heat moldable entry level triathlon shoe. The Riot TR+ combines Bont's pro series technical features including our power transfer platform and anatomical shaping with competition grade materials to create the most technically advanced entry level triathlon shoe. Microfiber Upper Microfiber upper is used to provide the Bont Riot TR+ with a strong outer layer to withstand the rigours of everyday cycling whilst mesh inserts assist with the breathability of the cycling shoes. Carbon Composite Construction The carbon composite construction of the Riot TR+ has been Heat Moulding specifically designed to ensure maximum performance at low weight. The fibreglass tub style construction of the chassis has been strengthened with the inclusion of carbon across high stress areas. The carbon has been sandwiched between layers of the fibreglass to maximise strength. Retention System Independent double velcro closure system to allow for maximum adjustability. The main strap has been designed to allow it to be maintained in a fully opened state to assist in quick transition times. TPU Toe Protector The toe protector can protects the front area of the shoe from wheel rub and impact. Ventilation The Bont Riot TR+ is highly ventilated via integrated top mesh panels and ventilation holes throughout the side microfiber panels. Last Design A last is a replica of a foot that the cycling shoe is built around. Last makers do not make cycling shoe lasts, they only make shoe lasts so perfecting a cycling shoe last requires a great deal of expertise in functional biomechanics and ongoing research. Carbon Fiber Bont carbon fiber is sourced exclusively from the world's #1 carbon manufacturer, Toray of Japan. The base of the Riot TR+ is made by hand utilizing uni-directional carbon fiber which is embedded with epoxy thermo setting resin. The fibers are hand laid in the matrix according to the strain they will have to bear. The Riot TR+ utilizes unidirectional carbon fiber allowing Bont to create a performance cycling shoe with very specific strength characteristics based on stress points in cycling. As unidirectional carbon absorbs less resin then cross weave fibers, it also assists in the weight reduction of the cycling shoes. Medial Longitudinal Arch Support Structural medial longitudinal arch support is provided in all models to stop over pronation of feet.
